The short answer

Tuition must come first at a registered private school. Only remaining funds can be used for approved curriculum, tutoring, academic programs, transportation, therapies, tests, credentials, and limited technology.

Rules worth remembering

  1. 01

Do not market EFS as an open homeschool ESA.

  2. 02

Separate EFS and IEA guidance; they serve different students and have different rules.

  3. 03

Under EFS, tuition and required private-school fees come before every other category.
